prenatal/postnatal chiropractic
Chiropractic care can be a game changer for pregnancy. As baby or babies grow in-utero the pregnant person’s body goes through massive changes which can lead to pain, strains and altered movement patterns. We strongly believe that pregnancy can be pain-free and enjoyable for all.
Chiropractic care during pregnancy is gentle and safe. It looks to align the spine and pelvis to reduce stress on the body while relaxing tight muscles and ligaments. This not only helps reduce discomfort during pregnancy, but can also assist in preparing the body for labour and delivery. We have routinely assisted clients with common ailments of pregnancy such as: round ligament pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction (SPD), low back pain, pelvic girdle pain, waddling, among others.
Chiropractic care in the postnatal space can have a huge impact on mom’s physical and mental health. Improving the function of the spine and pelvis, allows mom to move through their daily tasks pain-free. When looking at chiropractic care after pregnancy, we are ensuring that joints are functioning as they should and soft tissues are able to move the body in the best way possible. Pregnancy causes significant changes in the body, and chiropractic care provides support in the healing process.
As with prenatal chiropractic care, the goal is to align the spine and pelvis, while relaxing tight muscles and ligaments. In the postnatal space, this becomes extremely important with common aches and pains such as, midback pain, headaches, neck pain or stiffness, low back pain, unresolved pelvic girdle pain, and carpal tunnel, among others
